SENATE COMMITTEE UPDATE: The Michigan Senate Natural Resources Committee voted to pass Senate Resolution 30 —to urge the Natural Resources Commission (NRC) to begin the process of designating Sandhill Crane as a game species in Michigan. SR30 will be heading to the floor of the Senate for a vote.

Please contact your state senator today and urge them to vote no on Senate Resolution 30.

ORIGINAL POST: This Wednesday, April 24 at 8:30 a.m., the Senate Natural Resources Committee will hold a hearing on Senate Resolution 30, which urges the designation of Sandhill Crane as a game species in Michigan. If you oppose this resolution, we urge you to send your comments to the committee clerk at OfcSCC@senate.michigan.gov before the end of the day on Tuesday.
