Creating a Better Future for Birds in Michigan
For more than 120 years, Michigan Audubon has worked to connect people and birds through conservation, education, and research.
Wood Thrush by Jan Lewis
Today, Michigan Audubon manages nearly 4,000 acres across 20 sanctuaries throughout the state, protecting critical habitat for birds and other wildlife. Our stewardship work includes restoring native ecosystems, managing invasive species, and improving habitat to support birds during migration, nesting season, and throughout the year.
We also help people discover and appreciate birds through educational programs, field trips, community science projects, and partnerships with schools and communities. These opportunities inspire the next generation of conservationists while helping people build a deeper connection to the natural world around them.
Through long-term monitoring and research, including work at Whitefish Point Bird Observatory, Michigan Audubon collects valuable data that helps scientists and conservationists better understand bird populations and migration patterns throughout the Great Lakes region.
Your Support Makes an Impact
When you support Michigan Audubon, you are helping conserve important bird habitat, expand educational opportunities, advance research, and inspire people across Michigan to care for birds and the places they need to thrive.
Every dollar raised through this fundraiser helps strengthen our ability to protect birds today and for future generations.
