Why do you want to serve as a board member for Michigan Audubon, and what would you like to contribute?
As home to the greatest repository of fresh-water in the world, birds are an important bell-weather of ecological and watershed health. As these resources are increasingly threatened, Michigan Audubon can help to raise awareness through engagement of the public. I want to contribute to that work by supporting the Audubon staff with my time, talent and treasure as an experienced not-for-profit leader.
What is your favorite bird and why?
I love seeing a Red-winged Blackbird sitting on a fence post or piece of tall grass on a warm summer day.
