Please join us for a stewardship workday at Bernard W. Baker Sanctuary, located near Bellevue. This 980-acre preserve is a great place to spot birds even during the winter, including Bald Eagle, Wild Turkey, White- and Red-breasted Nuthatches, and Brown Creeper. Help us enhance this nature preserve through stewardship and habitat improvements. The Dec. 13 workday will focus on updating signage at the sanctuary, as well as general trail maintenance activities. Please come prepared for outdoor work, dressing for the weather; wear non-cotton layers, long pants, long sleeves, closed-toed boots (hiking boots or rubber boots work well), and a warm hat and gloves. Bring leather work gloves, water, and snacks, although we will have some on hand to share. This event is weather dependent. If an event is canceled, all those who RSVP will receive an email by 5 p.m. the evening before.

Contact Linnea Rowse at lrowse@michiganaudubon.org or 517-580-7364 with any questions or to RSVP.

We hope to see you at the sanctuary!
