Join Michigan Audubon for a series of free, guided bird walks at locations throughout the Greater Lansing area this spring – every Tuesday from April 16 to May 21! Linnea Rowse, Conservation Program Coordinator, will lead walks to seek out migratory birds in a variety of habitats. Bring your binoculars (some will be available to borrow) and wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. Walks are suitable for all ages and any level of birding experience. This is the perfect time of year to enjoy birds in their beautiful spring breeding plumage! These walks will be canceled in the event of heavy rains or thunderstorms.

May 14 | 8 – 10 a.m. | Corey Marsh Ecological Research Center, 9422 Herbison Rd, Laingsburg, MI 48848; follow signs for parking off the road east of the gate. A bird banding demonstration is scheduled to round out the morning walk, from 9:30 – 10 a.m. A $2 donation to CMERC/Burke Lake is suggested for the bird banding demonstration.
