Chapter Event – Minden Bog with Saginaw Valley Audubon Society

Randy Kursinsky focuses on the Sanilac Petroglyphs Historic State Park and the Minden Bog, located 60 miles east of Bay City in the Thumb. Tetroglyph Park contains the only know Native American rock carvings in Michigan as well as a very nice loop trail along a forested creek. The Minden Bog is a unique raised bog with unique plant communities, normally found further north. Both areas are top birding spots–totally different from the typical farming landscapes that surrounds them.

Time:

7:00 p.m.

Location:
Green Point Environmental Learning Center, 3010 Maple Street, Saginaw, MI.

Meetings are open to the pubic. Our mission is to promote an interest in, knowledge of, and an appreciation for our natural resources. We wish to present opportunities to accomplish this by our monthly programs, field trips and bird banding.
