Colorful photos document the diversity of moths found in rural Kalamazoo County. Both moths and/or their caterpillars are shown along with the native plants that host them. Also discussed is the significance of insects both to plant pollination and as food source for birds.

The presenter, Ilse Gebhard, is an Amateur Naturalist with special interest in native plants, insects, and birds and their relationships in the natural world. Longtime board member of the Audubon Society of Kalamazoo, she is a Monarch Watch Conservation Specialist and the chair of the Kalamazoo Area Wild Ones Monarch Committee.

Date and Location: January 23, 2017 at the People’s Church, 1758 North 10th Street, Kalamazoo.The program starts at 7:30 PM and is preceded by a social time with light refreshments at 7:00 PM. Guests and the general public are encouraged to attend. Handicap parking and access is at either the front or rear entrance of the building.
