Chapter Event – Straits Area Audubon – Hike from Carp Creek Gorge to Burt Lake

Come enjoy a leisurely hike and the fall season with its changing colors, birds, and plants on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015. You will hike a trail from the headwaters at High Springs to Burt Lake, following scenic Carp Creek, returning at least by 12:30 PM. You will learn about the geological, biological, and human history of this natural area protected by the University of Michigan Biological Station. Meet at 9:30 AM at the parking lot off Riggsville Road toward Pellston from the entrance to UMBS. Bring a sack lunch to eat at UMBS afterward.
