Chapter Event – “Bring It Cheboygan: Reducing Plastic Bag Waste”

Presenters: David Martin – Straits Area Concerned Citizens for Peace and Justice and the Environment
SAAS has long been active in both Cheboygan County recycling and in the local effort to reduce the use of plastic bags. This program will explain why we do not need plastic bags and the many ways in which they are harmful. Come and learn more about what has been done to reduce plastic waste and how you can continue to help. This program is free and open to the public. Door and raffle prizes will be available to all attendees. After nature sightings and upcoming field trip, we will enjoy refreshments brought by Dale Giddings and Glen and Diane Matthews.
