Thursday, August 6, 2015, 9:00 am
Leaders: Sally & Bill Brown
Join Sally & Bill for a leisurely paddle on Larks Lake near Cross Village on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Lark’s Lake is a shallow, spring fed lake with a surface area of 605 acres. We will paddle along the shore to observe birds. Frequently spotted are the Belted Kingfisher, Eagles, Great Blue Herons, Caspian Terns and Loons.. You must bring your own canoe or kayak and personal flotation devices, and bring binoculars if you feel OK taking them on the water. Allow 2-3 hours. Meet at Pioneer Park on the north side of the lake. The park entrance is on LaTocha Dr, which goes south off of Beckon Road. A porta potty is available at the park. Contact Sally at [email protected] to sign up for this trip or for more information). Optional lunch afterwards at Moose Jaw Junction.
