Make a difference for birds and their habitat!

Join us for a monthly volunteer workday at Michigan Audubon’s Phyllis Haehnle Memorial Sanctuary, where we’ll work together on critical habitat restoration projects that support local wildlife.

Led by Michigan Audubon Conservation Manager Chad Machinski and Jackson Audubon Member and Haehnle Committee Chair Steve Jerant, this is a great opportunity to connect with nature, meet fellow conservationists, and take direct action to improve bird habitat.

Date: 3rd Thursday of each month
Time: 9 a.m.  – 3 p.m. Come when you can! Volunteers typically work for 2–3 hours.
Location: Phyllis Haehnle Memorial Sanctuary is at the intersection of Seymour Road and Fairlane Drive in Grass Lake (entrance is across the street). Volunteers should meet at the Wing Overlook kiosk. Get Google Directions

Please RSVP to let us know when you’ll arrive and how long you plan to stay. To RSVP or if you have questions, email [email protected].

What to Bring

  • Sturdy shoes or boots
  • Work gloves
  • Loppers (if you have them)

Every hour you volunteer helps create a healthier environment for birds and other wildlife. We hope to see you there!
