Native Plant Tour at Capital City Bird Sanctuary

Saturday, August 1, 2015

Join Michigan Audubon and Wild Ones Red Cedar Chapter on a guided native plant walk through this new, suburban bird sanctuary. Come check out the great habitat improvements that volunteers have championed for birds and wildlife at the sanctuary! Participants will visit a former swimming pool turned bird garden, a “wild” meadow garden, a community vegetable garden, the bird nest box trail and various areas of the sanctuary where invasive plants have been removed.

Park at Hawk Meadows Park at 6160 Delta River Drive and meet just across the street from the parking lot at the trail head where there’s a large sign reading Capital City Bird Sanctuary.
