Hello!

We are having a Martha Mott Bird Sanctuary Volunteer Workday on Tuesday, December 5th, from 1pm to 4pm. We will continue to chip away at Autumn Olive and other woody plants in the prairie. This workday will be led by fellow volunteer, David Riggs, he will outline the scope of work for everyone and make sure everyone understands the goals of the day. Please bring your own hand tools for this workday. If you have power tools such as a chainsaw or brush cutter, along with proper personal protective equipment, please bring those if you would like. We may not use all power tools brought. Please register for the workday here!

We will keep everyone notified of any changes to the workday due to weather. Thank you all for the work that you do! With your help, Martha Mott will become the savanna it wants to be.

Martha Mott Sanctuary is located on 44th Avenue in Mattawan between 24th Street and Woodview Drive.

Please come dressed and supplied appropriately for working outdoors in the cold, this includes: gloves, closed toed shoes, pants and jacket. The workday will be cancelled if there is inclement weather or for poor air quality.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!
