We are seeking volunteers to assist with the installation of a Chimney Swift tower at Woldumar Nature Center!

Michigan Audubon and partner Woldumar Nature Center are looking for helpers who can hold a hammer or power drill, mix Quikrete cement, and/or climb a ladder. This fun project will benefit Chimney Swifts, a bird species dependent on human structures for nest sites.

The first work date for the installation is June 18 at 1:30 p.m. We will put together a foundation box, level the tower legs and base, and mix and pour concrete. If you are interested, please email Michigan Audubon Conservation Program Coordinator Linnea Rowse at lrowse@michiganaudubon.org.

Woldumar Nature Center is located at 5739 Old Lansing Rd, Lansing, MI 48917.
