Birding Tour – California

Join Bill Sweetman of Bsweet Tours on a birding/natural history tour to one of the most diverse and fascinating states in the entire USA – California. We will visit a wide variety of beautiful habitats on this California Birding Tour as we search for birds and experience California’s diverse flora and fauna. This tour will take us into the Mohave Desert, the southern most passes of the Sierra Nevada and to the beautiful central Pacific coast where we will visit some wonderfully scenic birding sites. While along the coast we will take a boat from Ventura to Santa Cruz Island National Park (SCI) providing opportunity to find the endemic Island Scrub Jay and possibly sea birds en route. This tour will explore most of the major bird groups, from sea birds, ducks and shorebirds, to hummingbirds and passerines. Our goal is to see all of the California endemic species.
An additional note: if winter has provided significant rain, the wild flower show in many locations is itself worth the trip.

Cost
