American Ornithological Society and Society of Canadian Ornithologists Joint Meeting

The joint meeting of the American Ornithological Society and the Society of Canadian Ornithologists will be held at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, from July 31 – August 5, 2017. This will be the inaugural meeting of the American Ornithological Society, the new society formed in 2016 by merging the American Ornithologists’ Union and Cooper Ornithological Society.
The theme for the meeting is Birds in the Anthropocene. Meeting organizers seek to have a diversity of thematic sessions that provide in-depth exploration of timely topics and highlight important new advances in ornithological research.
