COMMUNITY: Oakland Bird Alliance: eBird/MBRC Review Process
September 8 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
eBird/MBRC Review Process (Scott Terry)
OBA meetings open at 6:30 PM and talks begin at 7:00 PM.
City of Auburn Hills Community Center – 3350 E Seyburn Dr, Auburn Hills, MI 48326
Anybody that uses eBird to record their bird sightings knows that the records are reviewed by
individuals who check for the validity of sightings, likelihood and the numbers recorded. But
how does that process work? Also, the Michigan Bird Records Committee gets to weigh in on
the acceptability of rare bird sightings and the evidence provided to support those sightings.
How does that process work? These questions and others you may have can be answered in
this presentation by someone who knows how this works. Come and learn more about both
processes and how they affect you and your bird sighting records.
This event was submitted to our community calendar page by an outside organizer and is not a Michigan Audubon event. If you have questions, please reach out to the event organizers or the contact information provided in the event description.
