Event Series Event Series: Chimney Swift Tower Build at Woldumar

Michigan Audubon is seeking volunteers to help finish building a Chimney Swift tower at Woldumar Nature Center!

This project benefits Chimney Swift a bird species dependent on human structures for nest sites. The Okemos High School Earth Club constructed the tower components, so we just need to assemble the tower on site.

All in all, this tower will be approximately 15 feet tall and will support one nesting pair of Chimney Swift during their summer nesting season, or several Chimney Swift (up to 100 if we are lucky!) during their migration.

We will meet at Woldumar Nature Center (5739 Old Lansing Rd, Lansing, MI 48917). If you are interested in volunteering with us, please email Conservation Program Coordinator Linnea Rowse at lrowse@michiganaudubon.org.

In case of rain, this event will be postponed until Sept. 4.
