CCBS: Volunteer Workday

April 3 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 9:00am on Wednesday, repeating until June 26, 2019

Please join us for a stewardship workday at Capital City Bird Sanctuary, northwest of downtown Lansing. This little-known preserve is a great place to spot breeding Eastern Bluebird, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Warbling Vireo, and Eastern Kingbird. Help us protect this urban nature preserve by removing invasive garlic mustard and dame’s rocket and encouraging native habitats. Please come prepared for outdoor work; wear long pants, long sleeves, close-toed shoes, and a hat. Bring work gloves, water, snacks, insect repellent, and sunscreen, although we will have extras on hand. This event is weather dependent. If an event is canceled, all those who RSVP will receive an email by 5 p.m. the day before.

Contact Linnea Rowse at lrowse@michiganaudubon.org or 517-580-7364 with any questions or to RSVP.

We hope to see you at the sanctuary!

Meet at 6001 Delta River Dr., Lansing, MI 48906.
