We will meet and start at the trailhead on North 10th Street between G and H Avenues. A few of us walk 2.5 miles to the usually very birdy marsh at 8th Street and then back for a total of 5 miles\, but anyone can cut that short and turn around at any time. There will not be a “leader\,” although someone will be keeping a species list. \nFeel free to arrange your own spotting or shuttling of cars. SUMMARY:COMMUNITY: Audubon Society of Kalamazoo Monthly Program
DESCRIPTION:ASK monthly meetings are held on the 4th Monday of September-April (except for December) \nA social time begins at 6:30 with the program beginning at 7:00. \nPeople’s Church\, 1758 North 10th Street\, Kalamazoo. \nOn January 25\, Nicole Kvasnovsky. Rehabilitation Assistant at the Bird Center of Michigan\, will offer a virtual program on Saving Songbirds. The Bird Center has been in operation since 2004 and takes in over 1\,800 birds each year of over 85 species. \nThis program is geared to all audiences\, and we enthusiastically invite families and nature lovers of any age to join us!  Come at 6:30 PM (new time) for some refreshments and socializing. Snacks and beverages will be provided. It’s helpful if you bring your own cup. The one-hour program will start at 7:00 PM. Handicap parking and access is at either the front or the rear entrance of the building. \nWe will have a simultaneous Zoom link to the meeting for those who can’t make it or feel uncomfortable as yet to attend in person. This link will be available shortly before the meeting in the October newsletter that is emailed to you. We will also be recording the meeting for later viewing. \nAll programs will be Zoomed virtually and also recorded for later viewing. \n\nThis event was submitted to our community calendar page by an outside organizer and is not a Michigan Audubon event.
