SUMMARY:COMMUNITY: Audubon Society of Kalamazoo - Kal Haven Trail Walks
DESCRIPTION:Tuesdays in April & May – 9:00 AM \nKal Haven Trail\, Kalamazoo \nContinuing the years’ long tradition of Tuesday morning trail walks\, our weekly Kal-Haven Trail walks will be on Tuesdays at 9:00 AM in April and May\, starting April 7. We will meet and start at the trailhead on North 10th Street between G and H Avenues. A few of us walk 2.5 miles to the usually very birdy marsh at 8th Street and then back for a total of 5 miles\, but anyone can cut that short and turn around at any time. There will not be a “leader\,” although someone will be keeping a species list. \nFeel free to arrange your own spotting or shuttling of cars. The Kal-Haven Trail walks are handicap accessible. \nIf you would like to be in an email group to be notified of the latest status of the walks or to discuss weather conditions\, please send an email to Donna Keller at askpresident@kalamazooaudubon.org. \n\nThis event was submitted to our community calendar page by an outside organizer and is not a Michigan Audubon event. If you have questions\, please reach out to the event organizers or the contact information provided in the event description.

SUMMARY:COMMUNITY: Grand Rapids Audubon Club - Evening at Roselle Park
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday Evening at Roselle Park \nTuesday\, May 12\, 2026\, 6:00 PM  8:00 PM \nRoselle Park\, 1010 Grand River Drive NortheastAda\, MI\, 49301 \nRoselle Park is a good birding area right here in Kent County. It’s on the Grand River\, and has wetlands\, wooded edges\, and open areas. At this date\, warblers should still be moving and many of the sparrows and woodland birds should be present. We will plan to stick to the paved trails and avoid the water if there is flooding. \nEssentials: Meet at the Roselle Park parking lot by the visitor center. It’s entrance is across from Michigan Ave and north of the south parking lot entrance. This is west of Ada and south of Knapp along Grand River Dr. \nSafety Hazards: Drive safely to meet the group. Watch for traffic on the pathway. \nNOTE: While we love dogs\, we ask you to please NOT bring your pup(s) on club field trips\, as it can stress/frighten away the birds. Thank you! \n\nThis event was submitted to our community calendar page by an outside organizer and is not a Michigan Audubon event. If you have questions\, please reach out to the event organizers or the contact information provided in the event description.

After beginning her birdwatching journey in 2022\, Hannah began fusing her interests of digitalmedia and wildlife photography together. Although newer to the birding community\, Hannah has been hiking and backpacking in the great outdoors for many years\, and soon began using her background in stunning photography and videography to begin capturing these unique creatures. Join us as Hannah takes us through some of her best captures\, as well as tips and tricks for how you too can snap beautiful images of our feathered friends and other amazing wildlife. \nHannah has her bachelor’s degree of applied arts in digital media and photography from Central Michigan University. At CMU she took her first photography class and has continued to build her skills ever since. After graduating\, Hannah relocated to Colorado\, South Dakota\, and then Arkansas\, birding and hiking in many natural areas before finally relocating back to her hometown of Holland\, Michigan. This is her first presentation for HAC and is excited to share what she’s learned. \n\nThis event was submitted to our community calendar page by an outside organizer and is not a Michigan Audubon event.
