DESCRIPTION:The 2023 Leelanau BirdFest will begin on Thursday\, May 18\, and will end on Sunday morning\, May 21. Online registration can be made any time until 12 PM on Tuesday\, May 16. In Person registration will be from 2 PM – 6 PM on Thursday\, May 18\, and from 8:00 AM – 12 PM on Friday\, May 19\, at the Habitat Discovery Center\, 5020 N. Putnam Road\, and field trips start at 8 AM on Friday\, May 19. \nThe $45.00 fee includes a full buffet dinner on both Friday and Saturday and coffee and breakfast rolls on Sunday morning. \nFor questions about the 2023 Leelanau BirdFest\, feel free to call (231) 271-3738. \nSaving Birds Habitat Discovery Center 5020 N. SUMMARY:MYBN Meet-Up: Tawas Point State Park
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Tawas Point State Park on May 21 from 8 to 11 a.m. for a Michigan Young Birders Network meet-up. \nThese young birder meet-ups are for those 18 years old and younger and their families. Young birders will be responsible for transportation to and from the meet-ups. An adult must accompany any young birder under the age of 13. \nMeet-ups will last approximately three hours. Young birders can expect to see exciting birds and learn new tips and tricks in bird watching and identification. There is no cost to attend\, but a suggested donation of $10 per young birder or family will help cover expenses associated with hosting these events. \nPre-registration is required.
