SUMMARY:Chimney Swift Tower Build
DESCRIPTION:We are seeking volunteers to assist with the installation of a Chimney Swift tower at Woldumar Nature Center! \nMichigan Audubon and partner Woldumar Nature Center are looking for helpers who can hold a hammer or power drill\, mix Quikrete cement\, and/or climb a ladder. This fun project will benefit Chimney Swifts\, a bird species dependent on human structures for nest sites. \nThe first work date for the installation is June 18 at 1:30 p.m. We will put together a foundation box\, level the tower legs and base\, and mix and pour concrete. If you are interested\, please email Michigan Audubon Conservation Program Coordinator Linnea Rowse at lrowse@michiganaudubon.org. \nWoldumar Nature Center is located at 5739 Old Lansing Rd\, Lansing\, MI 48917. \nRead more about our Chimney Swift conservation efforts:https://www.michiganaudubon.org/bfc/chsw/
