SUMMARY:Capital City Bird Sanctuary Stewardship Workday
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a stewardship workday at Capital City Bird Sanctuary\, northwest of downtown Lansing. This little-known preserve is a great place to spot breeding Eastern Bluebirds\, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks\, Warbling Vireo\, and Eastern Kingbirds. Help us protect this urban nature preserve by removing invasive woody shrubs and encouraging native habitats. \nPlease come prepared for outdoor work; wear long pants\, long sleeves\, close-toed shoes\, and a hat. Bring leather work gloves\, water\, snacks\, insect repellent\, and sunscreen\, although we will have extras on hand. \nThis event is weather dependent.
