DESCRIPTION:Join the Oakland Audubon Society for The Milkweed Community presented by Don Drife. \nIt’s well known that milkweeds are essential for the survival of that most iconic butterfly\, the Monarch. However\, milkweeds are important to many more creatures than just one kind of butterfly. Many aspects of the milkweed community are unknown even to many dedicated nature observers. \nOAS meetings are held in the Thomas Parlor Room at the First United Methodist Church of Birmingham. Please continue to enter through the main entrance (4 doors)\, and find the Thomas Parlor Room located immediately to your left upon entering. Please continue to park in the big lot off Pleasant Street at the far west end of the church. \nMeeting cancellations: If a meeting is canceled or you are unsure of the status of a meeting\,\nplease check this website\, or call a board member or the church (248-646-1200).
