Marsh Madness at Baker Sanctuary

Event Time: March 20, 2010 / 9 am - 11 am

Dr. Gary Pierce will lead participants on a walk through Baker Sanctuary along the wetlands surrounding Big Marsh Lake while he explains the different types of wetlands, why they are important to us, and what can be found there.

Registration for the program is required and can be done by calling the Michigan Audubon office before Friday at 517-886-9144. After 5:00 p.m. on Friday, registration can be done by calling the sanctuary at 269-763-3090. The program fee is $2 per person; Michigan Audubon members can participate for free. The program will be held rain or shine.

The program will begin on the east side of the sanctuary at Baker Lodge. Baker Lodge is located on Junction Road just northwest of 16 Mile Rd., approximately 3.2 miles north of N Drive North (Exit 42 off of I-69). Maps to the sanctuary can be found at www.bakersanctuary.org.
