Michigan Young Birders Club

Michigan Audubon launched the club in 2013 with a schedule of monthly programs. With the assistance of Sarah Toner and advice from the staff at Black Swamp Bird Observatory (BSBO), MIYBC joined 12 other states and five regional Young Birder Clubs in the country.

MIYBC membership is for youth ages 12–18. It is a club run by young birders, for young birders, and focuses on educating young birders about birds and conservation. An Advisory Board decides on the schedule of programs and the division of tasks among the members. Members create their own online newsletter and help administer the club’s social networking sites.

The MIYBC is in the process of reforming.  Any interested parties should contact Education Coordinator, Lindsay Cain, at lcain@michiganaudubon.org.  More information will be posted as available.
