About Lake Bluff Bird Sanctuary
The Lake Bluff grounds are open daily from dawn to dusk. No dogs/pets are allowed on the grounds. There is a large deck and adjascent building with a public toilet. There is beach access and three self-guided nature trails. No bikes are allowed on the lawn or trails and the trails are not wheelchair accessible.
The M.E. and Gertrude E. Gray House is open for tours on most Saturdays from 1 to 4 pm in June, July, and August or by special arrangement. It is used for meetings and events and houses an upstairs gift shop. The main meeting room opens onto a large patio with the adjoining dining room being used as needed. The former den, the Robert C. Douglass Memorial Library, functions as a reading room and office for Lake Bluff and Manistee Audubon Society. The house is not wheelchair accessible.
The deck and house are available for rent on a limited basis.
Lake Bluff Bird Sanctuary is the property of Michigan Audubon and is managed by Resident Managers Rich and Deb Krieger.
