General Conservation Questions
Michigan Audubon's mission is "Connecting Birds and People for the Benefit of Both". Historically, we have attempted to tackle a wide range of environmental issues. However as we channel our resources and efforts, we currently focus on bird conservation issues that have a direct impact on bird diversity, healthy bird populations, and habitat.

- I want Michigan Audubon to help me with a local environmental concern by offering a letter of support / speaking at a meeting / engaging with our local group to solve this concern.

Bird Conservation Questions
- I want someone to do a bird survey on my property to verify a bird I saw.
- Can I just shoot cowbirds?
- How do I report a Gray-crowned Rosy Finch (or other rare Michigan Bird)?
- What do I do if I see someone shooting at birds?
- Birds are dying in my neighborhood. I've got a whole bunch of dead ducks on my beach/ dead robins on my lawn.
- Someone wants to remove a dam in our community and we know it will negatively impact birds using the pond created by the dam.

Sanctuary Questions
- Can I bring my dog to any of the sanctuaries?
- Are there any admission fees or cost to visit the sanctuaries? What are the hours?
- Can we hunt or fish / collect wildlife / cut wood/ remove geological resources?
- Can we ride our bikes / motorcycles / horses / ORV in the sanctuary?
- I was hunting on an adjacent landowner's property and I shot a deer and it ran onto the sanctuary. What do I do?
- I have a group of people that would like to donate some birdhouses or do some volunteering in the sanctuary. Who do I contact?
