Labor Day Weekend Nature Getaway

Friday, Aug. 31–Monday Sept. 3, 2007

Cedar Campus, Cedarville, Michigan

With 500 wooded acres located on the sparkling shores of Lake Huron and the Straits of Mackinac, Cedar Campus provides a quiet environment of woods, beaches washed by gentle waves, and cool breezes. It also provides the perfect place for the Michigan Audubon’s Labor Day Campout. Ranger Steve Mueller will host four days and three nights of outstanding nature adventures. For more information about Cedar Campus, check out their website.

Daily activities may include birding and wildflower hikes, visits to local nature preserves and interesting geological features, a field trip to Drummond Island, and a variety of other adventures. An evening presentation, followed by scrumptious snacks, star gazing, and time in the sauna, fills out each day.

Price includes seven meals (breakfast on Saturday to breakfast on Monday), evening snacks, selected lodging for three nights, field trips, evening programs, and activities such as swimming, sailing, kayaking, and canoeing. Daily rates and special children’s activities will also be available.
