Meetings are generally the first Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at Sterling Heights Nature Center. Meetings comprise educational programs, recent area bird sightings, a short business meeting and refreshments. Meetings and field trips are open to the public and are generally free unless otherwise noted on the schedule.

The Macomb Audubon Society was organized for educational and scientific purposes. They strive to promote interest in the world of nature through nature activities, aid in conservation of natural resources and provide an opportunity to learn through lectures, films, the Earthstar newsletter and discussions with fellow birders throughout the Macomb County area.
